Cool Director Series: Alexander Payne

The director Alexander Payne has long been known in the indie film world as a master of dark humor. His films are generally set in suburban America and feature a different kind of hero - a lonely, beaten down man struggling to create a better life. Let’s face it, humor comes from Payne. He’s done some fantastic films and has now made a (long overdue) foray into TV with the HBO series “Hung.” Payne is an executive producer on the show and directed the pilot as well.
