Why futuristic movies are THE GREATEST GENRE EVER…

1. We’re at a point in society where we realize that things well, might not be that great in the future. So it’s cool to explore and predict what the human race will have done right and the many things we’ll inevitably do wrong. It can be comforting to know what to expect and that there is still time to change our course.
2. It’s refreshing to see plotlines that don’t feel like they’ve been done a thousand times before or watered down by a team of highly paid studio writers. At least when 2 people meet-cute in a coffee shop, the barista’s a robot: “Will. That. Be. Tall. Or. Venti.”
3. The special effects, camera angels and costumes are can be amazing. I want to put on a silver jumpsuit and a red wig just writing this!
