Thanks to online video, these NSFW ads have really become a win-win for them. If they’re approved for a major television event like the Superbowl, win. If they’re banned, that only increases their popularity online, also a win. The Academy Award nominations were announced early this morning and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is leading the pack at 13 nominations including Best Picture, Best Actor, Supporting Actress, Director and Screenplay. Slumdog Millionaire follows close behind with 10 nominations. Noticeable Best Picture snubs included The Dark Knight, Gran Torino, Revolutionary Road, WALL-E and The Wrestler. Hugh Jackman will host the Awards live on ABC Sunday, February 22nd @ 5 pm PST / 8 pm EST but if you’re not up for the 3+ hour telecast we’ll be sure give you all the online video highlights the next day.
