Baleheads know that Christian Bale is a fantastic actor and makes great films that span all genres: from period pieces to action blockbusters. The new trailer for Terminator Salvation was just leaked online and baleheads are stoked to see the film when it opens May 22, 2009. Until then, let’s take a look back at Christian Bale’s top 5 movies, a balehead primer if you will. Happy Holidays!

2. American Pyscho – A classic! Also stars Reese Witherspoon, Chloe Sevigny, Josh Lucas and Jared Leto. Warning: This trailer is Restricted, may be NSFW.
3. Laurel Canyon – One of my favorite movies ever.
4. Newsies – Ah, vintage Bale. He sings, he dances, he fights bad guys.
5. The Dark Knight – Obviously! Released on DVD yesterday, this was the highest-grossing movie of 2008. Terminator Salvation will no doubt be a blockbuster next summer.
